FAQ What does Cardinal Capital Records do? We are focused on providing financial support and consulting to bands in local markets. We will launch our portal in 2019. To that end, we are looking for local artists and fans to sign up to our portal. How are the bands chosen to receive support? We have a fan community portal and app launching in 2019. Artists will sign up on the portal. Fans who subscribe to the app will be able to vote and engage with their favorite bands. Bands with the most votes and fan engagement will receive support contracts. Fans can receive rewards for high levels of engagement. What kind of support will bands receive? Consulting and/or money. Funds can be used for any sort of band activity. Recording, tour support, merchandising, etc. We will work with each band to determine the appropriate form and amount of support. How much support will bands receive? Cardinal Capital Records will decide from the bands chosen to receive support contracts. Typical financial support awards will range from $1,000 to several thousand dollars. Consulting assistance will revolve around business, marketing and digital media presence. Band's can receive support contracts more than once. What is a support contract? A support contract is not a long term binding agreement. It's not a "record deal". However, we will ask each band to perform at a certain level of effort in return for funding. This is to ensure that support is going to bands who are taking their career seriously. What if we do not receive a contract? Bands who sign up on our portal will have their music exposed to new fans on a continuing basis. In addition, the community portal will help bands increase their social media profiles and receive valuable feedback from fans who are exposed to their music. How often are awards chosen? Awards will be provided on a quarterly basis. The amount of funding available is based on the subscription base of local music fans. This is essentially a technology aided, crowd-funding music community building effort.
